These are excellent alternatives for "WHITE" processed sugars and "Corn Syrup" sweeteners.
Organic Agave - A nectar made from the cactus plant. It looks like honey and can be used like honey. It is a low glycemic sweetener alternative.
Stevia - It is a plant based sweetener. Research has shown that it lowers blood sugar levels by up to 35%. It tastes like sugar. It has no calories, no carbs, no sugar in it.
Organic Raw Honey - Locally grown in your area is best. It helps to fight allergies. Need a quick energy boost? Just take about an 1/8 teaspoon of raw honey.
Turbinado Sugar - (Not Turbanado / brown Sugar) Turbinado sugar is a partially refined sugar in which about 2/3 of the original molasses content has been removed. It's really good to use in place of white sugar in cereals, teas and baked goods.
Barley Malt - Good to use with other sweeteners. Make sure it's 100% organic barley malt, not a mix of barley and corn malt.
Unsulphured Black Strap Molasses - This provides an excellent source of natural iron, calcium and potassium. You can buy this at most grocery stores and supermarkets. Add about 1 tablespoon to a smoothie daily and you can begin to immediately tell the difference in your level of energy.
Pure Organic Maple Syrup - Buy only pure U.S. organic maple syrup. It's high in calcium and potassium. Some maple syrup producers still use illegal additives and chemicals like formaldehyde in their processing procedures.
