Aging With Grace
At the heart of growing younger and
live longer is the ability to reverse
aging. People don't tend to rust out as much as they wear out. Change starts with your perception of time and your own
aging process. What you do and don't do affects your biological
age. Age really is just a number. You may look 40 but you
are actually 55. Or you can look 55 and actually be 40.
Your chronological age is different from your biological age. So
how are you aging? As we mature, we must be willing to tap into
our personal truths and the wisdom of the ages handed down to us from
our elders. Maturity allows us to lovingly care for ourselves.
Here are some important things that can make all the difference in
your ability to relax, renew and "Age with Grace,"
because life should be simple, stress free and easy. Remember aging is an experience that we all hope to have. Your
goal should be to live longer and retire stronger.
-
Rest - Allowing yourself to
have regular periods of physical renewal through rest by improving
the quality of your sleep. Remove the TV from your bedroom, no
radios while sleeping, the darker the room the better for sleeping.
- Nutrition - It is important to understand
how to eat to live. Eat with a nutritional purpose in mind.
- Micronutrients - The science today has
proven the importance of even small amounts of nutrients have the ability to
reverse aging, such as the building blocks of proteins, enzymes,
hormone production, immune function, repair and growth of muscle and
neurotransmitter production.

- Breath and Relax
- Mind and body coordination through deep
breathing and relaxation is very refreshing. So do it often.
- Exercise - Regular exercise promote better
health. Regular walking with a friend or loved one just feels
good to do.
- Elimination - Poor bowel
eliminations, stress, toxic emotions,
negative relationships, stressful work environment and especially low nutrient foods should be
identified and addressed.
- Biological Creativity - The more creative
you are, the more youthful you will continue to feel. Find
your passion and follow it.
- Love - Keeps you feeling young. Sex
and intimacy are keys to feeling a sense of wholeness in a healthy
committed relationship. Sex not only feels good to you it's
good for you. If you value and nurture your loving
relationship, it really does get better with age.
- Grow Young - Learning how to feel young through youthful
and healthy play makes life worth living. People who enjoy
playing together enjoy staying together. Learn to value and
enjoy your personal friendships.
- Nurture the inner you -
Learn how to take care of yourself. Give up being perfect.
Live today with purpose so tomorrow will spring forth personal joy.
Get rid of the life that you had planned to make way for the
wonderful life that awaits you.
- Learn How to Retire - So why
do some people go back to work after retirement when they don't need
the money? Because they miss the daily routine of getting out
and doing something meaningful. So what can you do? Live well
everyday and fill
your life with family, friends, faith, love and positive ongoing pleasures that you regularly enjoy
throughout your life. Don't go from and active work and social schedule
to doing little or nothing. Enjoy your winters, springs,
summers and falls and all that comes with them every year, not just
when you retire.
- Have a vision of and for your future retirement. Don't
complain that you can't wait to retire because you are tired of
working, and when you do you have nothing meaningful to fill that
void. Enjoy life everyday, don't wait until you retire.
And once you do, it will be just another day to enjoy your life.
Hey, learn to become a kid again!!
We are all born with a silver spoon in our
mouths, some people just learn how to polish theirs. Don't wish
for, but expect
positive things to happen and they usually do. Is your glass
half empty or is it half full? Allow for the miracles in your life
to occur, and express gratitude for them daily, because they are on
their way. Treat your life like a long
interesting novel, and live in the chapter
that you are in at the moment. If you are 65 and want to return to school for
a degree, do it. If you have an unfulfilled dream, got for it. Learn to
live and love the skin you are in. When
you love you, others will love you too!
Here are just a few suggestions on how you can
decrease physical aging. Three of the most important things that you
can do to slow the aging process are to:
- Cleanse your internal body systems by drinking enough water
daily.
- Cleansing your colon by increasing dietary fiber.
- Correct poor bowel terrain.
Colon hygiene and correcting the imbalance in bowel flora are very
important to your overall health and continued wellness. As I
have heard it stated numerous times, "Death begins in the Colon."
Remember when you take good care of your colon and your colon will
take good care of you.
So what can you do to promote a healthy future?
Click
H E R E and read a further explanation on the
importance of colon hygiene and how including this simple process into
your daily routine can not only slow the aging process but can promote
much better health overall. Colon hygiene and improved bowel
terrain are right up there with
drinking enough water (hydration) daily, and bowel
movements (eliminations) are equally important
as well. Your life truly does depend on these three things to
promote improved overall health and to slow the aging process.
Research has shown that there is no diet that
guarantees that you will live longer. Research has also show
that eating less, loosing weight and maintaining a thin body structure
will increase your life span. But there are five things that
people can do to promote healthy aging.
- Start exercising. Find a
friend to work out with. Having someone that you are
accountable to help you to stay committed. Start simply, but
simply start.
- Balance your eating habits.
Eat 5 - 6 small nutrient packed meals a day and drink plenty of
water. In your waking hours, a minimum of drink 8 - 10 glasses (8 oz) of
water. Ideally we should all drink 1/2 of our body weight in
ounces daily for optimal health.
- Balance your life. Look at the
things that cause you stress and begin to eliminate them.
- Love yourself - Taking care of
yourself is one of the healthiest things that you can do. Get
a massage, call an old friend, get out and have some fun, get out
into the sun, read that new book. Set aside
one afternoon once or twice a month just for you. Have a
special date with your (marriage) mate.
- Balance your hormones. Find a
doctor in your area that offers "NATURAL" hormone testing and provides bioidentical Natural Hormone Replacement Therapy. "Men and
women" need to have this done. Yep, men go through the change
too. Men go through what is called
Andropause and women go through
Menopause. Balanced hormones means better
health as you age. READ MORE . . .
